One of our engineers has provided a Piano Discovery System (PDS) fix which allows users to run the software on Windows XP. Here is how it came to be, in his own words...

Growing up, I used the old DOS based Miracle Piano software, and later the newer PDS software. More recently I decided to start using the software with my children. The older, DOS based Miracle Piano software was a great innovation in teaching people how to play the piano by presenting lessons as text on the computer screen. Later, PDS came out for the Windows environment, with such improvements over the Miracle Piano software as more songs, video clips of how to play the notes on the piano, and audio instruction that speaks the lessons to you. This was just what my children needed, since they didn't know how to read. It was also much more natural for me to have the lessons spoken to me, instead of having to read them.
